How it works
Five formats
- Choose the spelling from four options.
- Build the word from its parts.
- Fill in the missing letters.
- Find the error in a sentence and correct it.
- Spell a word you hear.
One attempt each. No second tries.
Scoring
- Right. Full points.
- Found the error but misspelled it. Half.
- Wrong. Nothing.
Each word is worth more than the last: ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty.
A perfect set is 150.
Your count only includes words you spelled right.
Words you miss come back
- Miss a word and it gets saved.
- It comes back the next day.
- Then three days, a week, two weeks, a month, three months.
- Get it wrong and it starts again.
- Get it right at the end and it stops coming back.
Streaks
- Play a set. The streak continues.
- Miss a day with a freeze. The streak survives.
- Miss a day without one. The streak resets.
Your score does not matter. Showing up does.
